Woven-cloth insulation

Radiant barrier foil insulation is a perforated sheet made of woven cloth boned to two highly reflective surfaces. It helps reduce air conditioning costs in the summer while reducing heating costs in the winter. In addition to energy savings, a radiant barrier can significantly enhance a homes level of comfort.

Radiant barrier foil insulation has two properties that give it supreme performance against the transfer of radiant heat.

1.   Reflectivity

A.    Both sides of radiant barrier consist of metalized aluminum which reflects or blocks nearly 97% of radiant heat from transferring through the barrier.

2.   Emissivity

A.   The emissivity of a material refers to how much heat is absorbed and radiated from its surface.

B. The natural elements of metalized aluminum foil insulation result in a very low emmitance of heat energy.
